Why You'll Love This Recipe
I will start this post by saying – this frosting is so good, you cannot even tell it's vegan. I really love making vegan desserts, but they have to be good desserts and not taste “vegan” to me. Delaney is my absolute worst critic though, and he is obsessed with this frosting!
This vegan chocolate frosting only has a few simple ingredients, and best of all – there's no vegan butter in it! This easy dairy free chocolate frosting only has a few simple ingredients and it's so creamy, chocolatey, and delicious!
I was never a frosting person growing up. When my mom baked our birthday cakes each year, I would always trade my brother his cake for my frosting. Until I opened the bakery, I couldn't could care less about frosting. I've always preferred a glaze to a frosting. But, frosting has earned its place in my heart over the last ten years. And this smooth and creamy chocolate frosting is one of my favorite recipes to date – seriously!

FAQ's
How can I use Vegan Chocolate Ganache Frosting?
Use this easy dairy free chocolate frosting for any cake or cupcake recipe that you'd like. You can also top cookies with this frosting, make sandwich cookies, or top brownies! This recipe will be enough frosting for the following items.
• 6-inch layer cake
• 9 x 13-inch sheet cake
• 9 x 9-inch sheet cake if you like extra thick frosting
• 9 x 9-inch brownies for a nice thick frosting
• 1 dozen cupcakes
• 1 1/2 dozen sandwich cookies
You'll want to double the recipe if you're making an 8-inch or 9-inch layer cake, or more cupcakes or cookies.
Can I use another kind of vegan milk for this frosting?
Yes, if you don't want to use coconut milk, you can use almond milk or oat milk instead. You can even use dairy milk if you are not vegan and just want to make this amazing frosting!
Can I use another kind of oil?
No, you don't want to use any other kind of oil except coconut oil. The coconut oil is important here as coconut oil can solidify, where the other oils (such as canola or sunflower, cannot). And that makes a difference in this frosting so it can set up.
Do I need to store this frosting in the fridge?
Yes, if you frost something with this, it should be stored in the fridge because it has milk in it.

Why Organic
Why use organic ingredients in this recipe? You all know I’m a huge organic advocate, and I bet you may be thinking sometimes, Why would I even bother to use organic ingredients in something that is so sweet and indulgent? But, that is the exact reason why you should use organic ingredients! Sweet things need to have flavor in order to be good, otherwise they are just sweet and they don’t taste like much else. Organic ingredients are more pure than conventional ones, therefore they actually have more flavor than the non organic options. Say it with me, organic means more flavor! And not just more flavor but a more true and pure flavor. And organic ingredients are much healthier for you to eat in general as they do not contain GMOs or anything artificial. Plus, you are being environmentally friendly when you choose organic ingredients!
So, I highly recommend that you buy the best organic ingredients for this recipe! You can also shop my Amazon Storefront for all my favorite organic ingredients here. Tip – hover over each ingredient to see the name. And if you want to learn more about organic foods and the difference, read my post here on Food Labels and What They Mean.
