Why You’ll Love This Recipe
You guys are going to love this recipe! I made it on a whim when I didn’t have much food and I was using up leftover ingredients in my fridge. But, it was so damn good that I have been making this every week since!
I am obsessed with the contrast of hot and cold in salads and bowls. I don’t know if that’s a thing or not, but it’s a thing for me. For example, I love hot meat (like turkey, chicken, etc.) with the combination of cold veggies. If you like my Healthy Asian Salad with No Sugar, then you will also love this recipe!
This easy and healthy brunch bowl starts with my Everything Bagel Turkey Sausages. When you make these, you get 8 sausage patties, so you can still enjoy some for breakfast, as well as use them in this Turkey Avocado Brunch Bowl!
I add the Everything Bagel Turkey Sausages on top of leftover Jasmin rice, sliced avocado, red pepper, and purple cabbage. This brunch bowl with everything bagel spice mix is an insanely easy and healthy brunch bowl!
Why is this Turkey Avocado Brunch Bowl so healthy? Let me fill you in! We’re using organic turkey sausage patties here, so lean protein that will fill you up! I add Jasmin rice, which is gluten free (for those following a gluten free diet) and if you’re not gluten free like me, it’s still nice to eat gluten free for some meals, which is something I love doing.
The veggies in this easy and healthy brunch bowl start with purple cabbage, which is a cruciferous vegetable. Cruciferous vegetables are some of the best veggies you can eat for gut health!
I also add red pepper, specifically red, because the red peppers are the healthiest of all the bell pepper colors. They have the highest amount of vitamin C of all the peppers, and only one cup of red bell peppers provides three times more vitamin C than an orange! I bet you didn’t know that! I just learned this recently, so I was super excited about it.
Last, I add avocado, because c’mon it’s brunch and we need to have avocado! Not only are avocados tasty, but they can protect against heart disease and lower blood pressure. They also include monosaturated fats, which can help you increase calorie burning after eating. More room for cookies, is what I take from that!

For the condiments in this Turkey Avocado Brunch Bowl, you only need two! The first is coconut aminos. If you are unfamiliar with coconut aminos, then you’re in for a treat. This amazing sauce is incredibly similar to soy sauce in taste and flavor, but its made from coconut and its really good for you as it may have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. It adds sweetness and salt to dishes, I hope you will give it a try!
And, last I add a sprinkle of Everything Bagel Spice Mix on top. My favorite Everything Bagel Spice Mix comes from Frontier Co-Op and I believe it is far superior than any other organic one on the market, and I’ve tried a lot. It’s made up of the perfect ratios of sesame seed, garlic, sea salt, toasted onion, black sesame seed, and poppy seeds. And seeds are incredibly healthy!
So, while you are enjoying this insanely delicious Turkey Avocado Brunch Bowl, you can reap all these amazing health benefits while also eating something that is so good! That is always my goal when I’m eating – find the best organic ingredients and choose the healthiest options *that taste the best*. You should be able to nourish while enjoying and indulging!

How to Make Turkey Avocado Brunch Bowl
Step 1
Make rice, or you can use leftover rice, which is what I always do. We always have rice in our fridge, with Delaney being from Maui (if you know, you know). So, we just always have leftover rice, but if you are making these from scratch, then make some rice. I prefer jasmin, but you can use any kind you like.
Step 2
Make the Everything Bagel Turkey Sausages. If you don’t have these made already, then you will need to make these as well. They cook up in about 10 minutes, so they are really quick and easy! But, I usually have these made already and have leftovers in the fridge.
Step 3
Chop the cabbage, red pepper, and avocado.
Step 4
Build your bowl: Add a scoop of rice, 2 Everything Bagel Turkey Sausages, cabbage, red peppers, and avocado.
Step 5
Sprinkle Everything Bagel Spice Mix on top and add coconut aminos. Cut into bite sized pieces, so you can mix it all in together!

FAQ’s
Can I use another kind of rice?
Yes, if you prefer to use brown rice or wild rice, that will also work! I’m just a white rice kind of girl as I’m married to a Hawaiian! This would also be delicious with leftover sushi rice, which I have also used!
Can I use another kind of sausage?
Yes, if you want to use a pork breakfast sausage that would also be amazing in this dish! I’ve made it with my Homemade Pork Breakfast Sausages as well!
Can I use green cabbage instead of purple?
Yes, feel free to use whatever cabbage you have on hand. I usually just always buy purple as I prefer it, but do they really even taste different? I don’t know!
Can I use another color bell pepper?
Of course, if you have any other bell peppers, feel free to use up what you have! This recipe was built on leftovers and any bell peppers will work.
Can I add other veggies?
Absolutely! If you want to add other veggies that sound good to you, go for it! The more veggies the better! Plus, if you’re making this recipe with leftovers, feel free to use what you have in your fridge.
What if I can’t find Frontier Co-Op Organic Everything Bagel Spice Mix?
Frontier Co-Op is an amazing co-op. While you can find it in most grocery stores, you can also sign up to become a co-op member and order online! I do this all the time! But, if you’re not into that, then you can use the FreshJax Organic Everything Bagel Mix as that’s my next favorite and it’s easily available on Amazon.

Why go organic?
You may be wondering why I push organic ingredients for everything, even savory and healthy dishes. Organic ingredients go beyond just health and wellness, and contribute so much to the taste and flavor of a recipe. So, if you think that you’re making something healthy and buying fruits, veggies, or meats so maybe you don’t need to spend the extra to go organic here – let me sway your thinking.
Organic ingredients are made in a more pure way, therefore using no additives, no GMOs, and minimal ingredients. This really allows the true ingredients to shine – and because of that their flavor shines through. Therefore, organic ingredients are more flavorful than their non organic counterparts. So, just because it’s already a healthy recipe, or you’re already buying good for you ingredients – it doesn’t mean you can skip organic! Trust me here, and make the switch. Your body and your taste buds will thank you!
So, I highly recommend that you buy the best organic ingredients for this recipe! You can also shop my Amazon Storefront for all my favorite organic ingredients here. Tip – hover over each ingredient to see the name. And if you want to learn more about organic foods and the difference, read my post here on Food Labels and What They Mean.
