With spring here and Memorial Day coming up, I thought I’d share a spring cocktail recipe. Grapefruits are still in season and they are really good right now. So today I’m sharing a recipe for a Rosemary Greyhound.
What’s a Greyhound cocktail? It is traditionally made with either vodka or gin and grapefruit juice. Yep, that’s it! it is a very simple cocktail recipe. Delaney loves gin, like really loves it. So, I decided to make this recipe with gin, but you could also use vodka. And my herb garden is going off right now, which is amazing. It’s one of the things I love about living in my new house, I can finally grow herbs! In my old condo, it was very dark because there were trees all around, so I literally couldn’t grow anything. But, now at the new house I am a serious plant lady!
This easy Rosemary Greyhound recipe is perfect for spring, but would also be great for Easter or Valentine’s Day next year as it has a naturally light pink color which is just so pretty. This cocktail would also be really pretty in a punch bowl if you’re planning an outdoor BBQ this summer. Get the recipe below for my Rosemary Greyhound.
1 ounce gin
4 ounces organic grapefruit juice
fresh rosemary for garnish (optional)
Fill a glass with ice. Add gin, grapefruit juice, and garnish with rosemary.
High Altitude – Follow the recipe as noted.
