Lunch or dinner in 15 minutes? Yes please! This easy Pizza Toast uses your favorite sourdough bread, tomato sauce, mozzarella and some traditional pizza toppings for Pizza Toast that is ready in minutes!
I have been making Pizza Toast, (or pizza bread) for years. I actually have a recipe for Pizza Bread in my book The Mountain Baker, and that one uses Kimmy's amazing homemade bread. And I shared my recipe for Loaded Air Fryer Garlic Bread a while ago, which is also very similar.

Why You'll Love This Recipe
I love this easy and adaptable recipe as you can use up veggies in your fridge. Sometimes I make mine veggie based and don’t use meat, but I also love adding Organic Prairie Garlic Summer Sausage as it’s so good and it gives added protein.
You can use any kind of veggies you have on hand if you don’t have the ones I note in the recipe. Other veggies that I use often are: red onion, broccoli, olives, and spinach. Also, if you don’t have tomatoes you can use tomato sauce instead, just remember to use it sparingly, just about 1 tablespoon per piece of bread.
I make this Pizza Toast in my Cuisinart Air Fryer. I love this air fryer so much because it doubles as a toaster oven too, and you can use one option or the other easily. I start out on the regular bake so that the veggies all have time to cook properly. Then for the last couple minutes I use the air fry setting. One trick I’ve learned is to make sure to not put foil under your bread, as it won’t crisp up nicely if you do. I like to use foil in my air fryer basket a lot as it’s easy to clean up, I know! But for this recipe out the foil on the tray below so that the bread slices are directly in the basket so you get nice crispy toast. Grab my easy recipe for Pizza Toast below!

Why go organic?
You may be wondering why I push organic ingredients for everything, even savory and healthy dishes. Organic ingredients go beyond just health and wellness, and contribute so much to the taste and flavor of a recipe. So, if you think that you're making something healthy and buying fruits, veggies, or meats so maybe you don't need to spend the extra to go organic here – let me sway your thinking.
Organic ingredients are made in a more pure way, therefore using no additives, no GMOs, and minimal ingredients. This really allows the true ingredients to shine – and because of that their flavor shines through. Therefore, organic ingredients are more flavorful than their non organic counterparts. So, just because it's already a healthy recipe, or you're already buying good for you ingredients – it doesn't mean you can skip organic! Trust me here, and make the switch. Your body and your taste buds will thank you!
So, I highly recommend that you buy the best organic ingredients for this recipe! You can also shop my Amazon Storefront for all my favorite organic ingredients here. Tip – hover over each ingredient to see the name. And if you want to learn more about organic foods and the difference, read my post here on Food Labels and What They Mean.
