One of the things I always remember about summer as a kid was the ice cream truck. It was seriously a scramble to get to him whenever we heard the song. My house growing up had a two hundred foot driveway that set our house back from the street. So, on the days my brother and I would hear the ice cream truck, not only did we have to find money, but we also had to run 200 feet to get to him in time. Needless to say, it was sometimes a complete disaster and we missed him completely.
I always got fudge pops as they are my favorites. But, my brother got orange cream pops and any other fruity popsicle they had. And whenever the ice cream man was out of fudge pops, I'd join him and get an orange cream pop too. While I love chocolate, sometimes it's nice to have a light and fruity dessert in the summertime!
Why You'll Love This Recipe
These Orange Creamsicle Popsicles are sweet and creamy. I use raw dairy, fresh orange juice, and yogurt in these amazing homemade Orange Creamsicle Popsicles. These simple popsicles come together easily in your blender. Just pour into popsicle molds, the hardest part will literally be to wait for them to freeze!
Last month I came home from Petaluma with a ton of fresh lemons and oranges from trees on the property we were staying at. So, I have been making lemon and orange recipes like crazy! Delaney said Orange Creamsicle Popsicles immediately when we got home, as we had just gotten a box from my friends at Raw Farms. And, their raw dairy is absolutely amazing. I'm always creating new recipes whenever I get a box from them. I knew I wanted to use their heavy whipping cream in this recipe, as the raw dairy would be amazing in Orange Creamsicle Popsicles!

Tips for Orange Creamsicle Popsicles
• I use a silicone popsicle mold here, and it is a game changer! I would highly recommend buying one if you don't have one, or even if you have a plastic one, as this one is so much better. It really helps get the popsicles out very easily. The only thing to watch out for when using a silicone popsicle mold is make sure nothing is touching it in your freezer, as if you have a box or something up against it, it can create an indent in your popsicles, ha!
• I used Raw Farm Heavy Whipping Cream in this recipe. But, you can also use traditional heavy whipping cream as well. I love using raw dairy when I have it, and especially in this recipe it really is amazing! But, if you can't find Raw Farm Heavy Whipping Cream then my favorite pasteurized heavy whipping cream is Organic Valley. It won't affect the recipe either way.
• I use organic cane sugar, which is the same as granulated white sugar. I highly recommend switching to organic cane sugar, as it's so much better and better for you!
• I use fresh oranges here, which are key! Make sure your oranges are flavorful, because if you get a dud then the flavor won't shine through in this recipe. Whenever you are baking with fresh fruit, always be sure to try it, because if it's not sweet or it's not good then your final product won't taste good either. Sometimes fresh fruit just isn't as good, and that's okay, so try it before you use it in recipes as the flavor needs to be there.
• I use organic vanilla yogurt here. The vanilla yogurt is key, as it gives a sweetness and provides that cream flavor, so don't use plain.

Why Organic
Why use organic ingredients in this recipe? You all know I’m a huge organic advocate, and I bet you may be thinking sometimes, Why would I even bother to use organic ingredients in something that is so sweet and indulgent? But, that is the exact reason why you should use organic ingredients! Sweet things need to have flavor in order to be good, otherwise they are just sweet and they don’t taste like much else. Organic ingredients are more pure than conventional ones, therefore they actually have more flavor than the non organic options. Say it with me, organic means more flavor! And not just more flavor but a more true and pure flavor. And organic ingredients are much healthier for you to eat in general as they do not contain GMOs or anything artificial. Plus, you are being environmentally friendly when you choose organic ingredients!
So, I highly recommend that you buy the best organic ingredients for this recipe! You can also shop my Amazon Storefront for all my favorite organic ingredients here.
