Why You'll Love This Recipe

This adorable Valentine’s Day Chocolate Box is so easy! I am obsessed with it, and I can’t wait to give them this Valentine’s Day. This simple Valentine’s Day Chocolate Box is made up of organic chocolate hearts in combination with some of my favorite homemade Valentine’s Day candy. This makes a festive and colorful simple Valentine’s Day Chocolate Box with no artificial colors and completely organic ingredients!

Plus, I use a real box that you can easily buy online (no fake desk organizers or random wood boxes that people always use for photos, but you couldn’t use in real life!). Can you tell I get heated about that topic? Haha! If I’m showing you a tutorial for a homemade Valentine’s Day candy box, then the box is included!

How to Make Homemade a Valentine’s Day Chocolate Box

Step 1

First step is to buy boxes and Valentine’s Day ribbon. Here are links to the boxes and ribbon I used.

Boxes

Pink Stripe Ribbon

Pink Gingham Ribbon

Step 2

Make sure you have organic chocolate heart candies! The ones I have are from Lake Champlain Chocolates as they make the best (and only I think?) organic chocolate hearts.

Step 3

Make the homemade Valentine’s Day candy for the box. I used four different homemade Valentine’s Day candy recipes. I used my Chocolate Cream Drops, Dark Chocolate Almond Hearts, Eggless Red Velvet Chocolate Cake Balls, and Dark Chocolate Coconut Squares.

Chocolate Cream Drops

Dark Chocolate Almond Hearts

Eggless Red Velvet Chocolate Cake Balls

Dark Chocolate Coconut Squares

Step 4

Once all the candy is made and you have the boxes and ribbon, it’s time to assemble the boxes! Put together the boxes, and then fill each square with one kind of candy. You can use the order I did in the photos or you can mix it up however you like!

Step 5

Place the clear cover over the boxes and tie with a ribbon. And it’s time to give your homemade Valentine’s Day Chocolate Boxes to the ones you love.

Why Organic

Why use organic ingredients in this recipe? You all know I’m a huge organic advocate, and I bet you may be thinking sometimes, Why would I even bother to use organic ingredients in something that is so sweet and indulgent? But, that is the exact reason why you should use organic ingredients! Sweet things need to have flavor in order to be good, otherwise they are just sweet and they don’t taste like much else. Organic ingredients are more pure than conventional ones, therefore they actually have more flavor than the non organic options. Say it with me, organic means more flavor! And not just more flavor but a more true and pure flavor. And organic ingredients are much healthier for you to eat in general as they do not contain GMOs or anything artificial. Plus, you are being environmentally friendly when you choose organic ingredients!

So, I highly recommend that you buy the best organic ingredients for this recipe! You can also shop my Amazon Storefront for all my favorite organic ingredients here. Tip – hover over each ingredient to see the name. And if you want to learn more about organic foods and the difference, read my post here on Food Labels and What They Mean.
