Homemade chocolate ganache is so easy to make! This simple dessert topping only has two ingredients: organic chocolate and organic heavy whipping cream. I use both milk and dark chocolate in my homemade chocolate ganache, however you could use one or the other as well.

FAQ’s
What is chocolate ganache?
Chocolate ganache is made up of two ingredients, just chocolate and heavy whipping cream. You can use different ratios of chocolate and cream to create different kinds of ganache that can be used for different things – everything from sauce to fillings!
I am sharing my recipe for homemade Chocolate Ganache today – and this type is a chocolate sauce. It’s perfect for using as a topping for ice cream, cakes, and cupcakes.
How do you make chocolate ganache?
It is so easy guys, seriously! You’ll just need a double boiler, or you can make one with a pot and a heatproof bowl. I use a 2-quart pot and a metal bowl. Fill the pot with just a couple inches of water and place the bowl on top. You don’t want the bowl to touch the water. Put it over medium heat.
Add the chocolate into the bowl, and melt until it’s completely melted. Slowly, add in the heavy whipping cream while whisking or stirring with a spatula. You want to add the cream slowly because the cream is colder than the chocolate, so it can seize up if added all at once. Continue to add the cream until you have added all of it, and it’s completely uniform. Remove it from the heat and transfer to a glass jar or squeeze bottle. That’s it!
I love adding this homemade Chocolate Ganache to simple organic vanilla bean ice cream! And it would also be good on chocolate ice cream, coffee ice cream, mint, and more! Get your favorite organic ice cream and top it with this homemade Chocolate Ganache. My favorite ice cream brands are Straus Organic Creamery or Alec’s Organic Ice Cream – both being a little bit different. Straus has more air whipped into it, and Alec’s is thicker and creamier. But, both are made using the best organic milk and cream for amazing ice cream you can feel good about indulging in! So what are you waiting for?

Why Organic
Why use organic ingredients in this recipe? You all know I’m a huge organic advocate, and I bet you may be thinking sometimes, Why would I even bother to use organic ingredients in something that is so sweet and indulgent? But, that is the exact reason why you should use organic ingredients! Sweet things need to have flavor in order to be good, otherwise they are just sweet and they don’t taste like much else. Organic ingredients are more pure than conventional ones, therefore they actually have more flavor than the non organic options. Say it with me, organic means more flavor! And not just more flavor but a more true and pure flavor. And organic ingredients are much healthier for you to eat in general as they do not contain GMOs or anything artificial. Plus, you are being environmentally friendly when you choose organic ingredients!
So, I highly recommend that you buy the best organic ingredients for this recipe! You can also shop my Amazon Storefront for all my favorite organic ingredients here.
