Ingredients really matter, and especially for your dog! They live such short lives as it is, so I want I make it the best it can be for his health long term so he can live happily for the longest time he can.

My Waffle Recipe for Dogs is one of John John’s all time faves, he loves these for treats! And he has recently taken up a blueberry obsession, we eat them together each morning after breakfast.
Blueberries are so good for your dog, just like they are for you! There are so many health benefits to eating blueberries (for humans and dogs), not to mention they are delicious in pancakes!
To make these homemade dog pancakes, I use a mix of all purpose flour, baking powder, banana, coconut oil, honey, eggs, coconut milk, and blueberries! These Blueberry Pancakes for Dogs are pancakes you can also eat too, making them the best weekend brunch that you can make and share with your dog!
These Blueberry Pancakes for Dogs have no sugar, but instead a little bit of honey, which is all they need. If you’re eating them then they’ll sweeten right up with a drizzle of maple syrup. And if you’re making them for your dog then skip the maple syrup and top them with a little bit of peanut butter for them instead!

Organic Bananas
Real Coco Organic Coconut Milk
Costco Kirkland Organic Coconut Oil
Cairnspring Mills Organic All Purpose Flour

How to Make Blueberry Pancakes for Dogs
Step 1
In a large bowl, add the banana and mash with a fork.
Step 2
Add the coconut oil, coconut milk, honey, and egg and whisk to combine completely. Making sure to give your dog licks of coconut oil in the process!
Step 3
Add the flour and baking powder and whisk to combine completely. Fold in the blueberries.
Step 4
In a large skillet over low to medium heat, grease it well with coconut oil. Use a 1/4 cup to drop the pancakes into the skillet. Wait for the top of the pancake to start bubbling, about 1 to 2 minutes. Flip the pancake and cook until done, about another 1 to 2 minutes on the second side. Repeat until batter is gone.

Can I use another kind of oil?
No, stick to coconut oil for this recipe as it’s the safest for dogs to eat! Other oils like avocado oil or olive oil can be okay for dogs in very small amounts, but not in a recipe like this. So stick to organic coconut oil!
What if my dog is gluten free?
You can use a gluten free flour in place of all purpose flour. Look for the swap in the notes at the bottom of the recipe. A good gluten free flour for dogs is the Namaste Organic Perfect Flour Blend.
Can I eat homemade dog pancakes?
Yes! These homemade dog pancakes are safe for you to eat too, and they’re delicious! If you have a baby or kid where you’re limiting sugar, these are also a great recipe for them as they are sugar free.

1/4 cup organic blueberries
Directions
