Halloween was always my favorite holiday after Christmas. I mean, as a kid, who doesn’t love to go around to people’s houses and gather free candy – free candy! Plus, on Halloween my mom didn’t restrict us on candy like she normally did. So, I always loved it.
But as I’ve realized how bad traditional candy is, it has put me on the search for the best organic Halloween candy. I’m sure if organic was what it is today, my mom would have found the healthiest Halloween cady out there and gave it to us.
When I owned my bake shop, I had parents that would come before Halloween to buy all the best organic Halloween candy we had. They would allow their kids to trick or treat, and then they would take the candy and swap it with the healthiest Halloween candy they bought from the bakery!
I thought that was a pretty good plan. Those kids were making out even better as they were getting organic gummy worms, chocolate, and more. And all the candy I sold at the bake shop was better than what they were getting in their trick or treat bucket anyways.
So, if you are wondering what the healthiest Halloween candy is, then you’re in the right place. The healthiest Halloween candy is made with the best organic ingredients. Candy is still candy in my book. I’m not trying to make candy healthy, nor do I want that. But I do want the best organic Halloween candy! I want to feel good about eating it and I don’t want a tummy ache afterwards.
So, read on for the best organic Halloween candy that I’ve found. Head to the store, or internet, and buy it up now so you are stocked for Halloween when your candy craving hits.
Organic Candy Corn
It’s not Halloween without candy corn. And YumEarth makes the best organic candy corn! This is my absolute favorite.
Organic Peanut Butter Cups
Yes, the one and only peanut butter cup now makes an organic version. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are doing it right by making both organic milk and dark chocolate versions of everyone’s favorite Halloween candy.
But I have been buying Justin’s Mini Peanut Butter Cups forever and honestly, I like them better than the Reese’s! Plus, they have both mini and regular sized versions, and the minis are always my favorite.
Organic Gummy Candy
YumEarth also makes spooky gummy candies, and they make them in small packets that are perfect for Halloween! Bats, spiders, and fangs – pretty sweet.
Organic Chocolate Bars
If you like Crunch Bars, then you will love Moo Chocolates Rice Crisp Bars. They are so good, and they take me right back to Halloween as a kid because I always loved the mini Crunch Bars. Moo Chocolates also makes Peanut Butter Bars and the Creamy Milk Bars, which I am obsessed with!
Now Hershey’s makes an organic milk chocolate bar, just like we got when we were kids. I tried these recently, and for a pure and simple milk chocolate bar they are really good!
Organic Chocolate Coconut Candies
Theo Chocolate makes the best Chocolate Coconut Bites. These are like Mounds Bars, and they also make ones with almond inside which is basically an Almond Joy. I buy these all year round, not just on Halloween. I always have some in my pantry!
Organic Fruity Candy
If you like Skittles then you will love Giggles. Yum Earth makes these identical organic Skittles but they call them Giggles. The only difference is the green ones are actually good! Delaney and I are obsessed with this candy, we buy them all the time. They even make them in small packets for Halloween.
Cocomel makes organic caramel candies. These also happen to be vegan, but trust me, you would never even know because they are so good!
Were you a Dum Dum fan? While some people thought getting a Dum Dum in their trick or treating bag was a bust, I always liked them. Just so long as I got a good flavor – not something sketchy like the Mystery flavor! But I loved so many of the fruity flavors and the butterscotch. YumEarth makes Halloween lollipops – in four flavors, Cherry, Strabwerry, Mango, and Watermelon. These are even better than Dum Dums as they are organic and have no artificial colors.
Also, be sure to check out my Healthy Halloween Candy Roundup, which includes some additional candies that are all natural and free or artificial colors.
